About Pure Strength & Fitness

Pure Strength and Fitness offers primarily group fitness classes and is located in the Shoreline Plaza at 3769 Old Post Road in Charlestown, RI. The classes are offered morning, afternoon and evenings, running for about 1 hour. Each class will have a coach leading the group through a warm up, stretch/mobility, skill instruction and the workout. Classes will include skills and workouts designed to build strength and endurance for all levels of fitness.


The programming is developed to challenge all fitness levels and goals from novice to competitive within the same class. Each workout will offer different skill choices and levels to keep everyone working together and within a challenging but comfortable setting. A coach will work directly with each athlete on options for movements depending on the goals, restrictions and focus.


The benefit of the group setting at Pure Strength and Fitness is the encouragement, motivation and commodore of others while learning new skills and achieving new goals. Meet your new trainers

Meet Kelli

Kelli is the head coach of the University of Rhode Island Gymnastics team. Her athletic career began at age 8 at the South County YMCA with a beginner gymnastics class and has never turned back. Kelli participated in the USA Gymnastics Jr. Olympic program though high school and competed for her high school team at South Kingstown. She was a varsity gymnast at the University of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College. Kelli graduated from Rhode Island College in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Public Relations.


After college Kelli continued her involvement in gymnastics as a coach at the youth level and became the head coach at North Kingstown High School. Currently holds a level 8 rating as a USA Gymnastics official and is the State Chair for USA Gymnastics Rhode Island.


Kelli is passionate about coaching and helping people of all ages with their fitness goals. This passion led to a continued study of health and wellness.

Meet Jordan

Jordan has been active for most of her life.  She began taking gymnastics classes when she was only 2 years old at MGC Westborough and was invited onto the competitive team at the age of 6.  She began to compete on two gymnastics teams all 4 years of high school. One of the 2 teams she competed on was Algonquin Regional HS which won back to back state championships for the first time in the school’s history.  During high school Jordan also taught all levels of gymnastics classes at MGC while also teaching acrobatics classes at Rhythm Dance Company in Westborough.


After graduating high school in 2014 she went on to attend The University of Rhode Island where she is currently studying kinesiology.  Jordan is also competing for the URI gymnastics team and is currently working at the campuses gym as a fit well attendant.


Along with gymnastic Jordan has also been boxing for two years now and hopes to get in the ring with in the next year or so.  Living such an active life Jordan has taken a passion for sharing fitness knowledge and is ASFA certified in Group Exercise.

John has been involved with weight lifting for over 22 years.  He enjoys intense workout sessions with a mix of power lifting, Olympic style weightlifting as well as general CrossFit style workouts.


John is passionate about helping others reach their highest potential.
